Candle Care Instructions

Get the most out of your Lunor & Co. candles.

First Burn is Critical

The first time you light your candle is the most important. Allow the wax to melt completely across the entire surface to the edges of the container — typically 2-3 hours. This creates a "memory" and prevents tunneling in future burns.

Trim the Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6mm). This prevents excessive smoking, ensures a clean burn, and helps your candle last longer.

Burn Time Guidelines

Minimum Burn Time

Never burn for less than 1 hour. Short burns can cause tunneling and waste wax.

Maximum Burn Time

Don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time to avoid overheating and preserve fragrance quality.

Safety & Storage

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended
  • Keep away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans, and air currents
  • Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Stop use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains

Candle Jar Recycling

1

Remove Remaining Wax

Place jar in freezer for 2-3 hours, then pop out frozen wax with a butter knife.

2

Clean the Jar

Wash with warm soapy water to remove any residue.

3

Reuse or Recycle

Use as a planter, storage container, or recycle the glass.

Pro Tip: To maximize scent throw, burn your candle in a smaller room and close the door for 15-20 minutes.

Temperature: For best results, burn candles at room temperature (18-24°C / 65-75°F).
